- Brown meat in pot or dutch oven - Strain fat and set of to side in a bowl
- Add 1 tbsp olive oil to pan and cook pepper, jalapeno, onion, and garlic until soft about 6 minutes
- Add seasoning to peppers and onions. Stir and cook for a few minutes.
- If using a crockpot - add meat, peppers, onions, beans, tomatos, and tomato sauce to slow cooker. Mix together. - - Set on high for 4 hours or low 6-8 hours.
- If making this stove top - add meat, drained beans, canned tomato, and tomato sauce. - - Bring to a boil, then cover and lower to a simmer for 1.5-2 hours
- Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream, scallions, or whatever you prefer. Enjoy!
