Steps to make Apple Upside Down Cake:
  1. Line the base of a 9inch pan with butter paper.
  2. Mix brown sugar and butter and caramelize till you get a llittle color.
  3. Peel, core and cut into thin slice the apples. Arrange them in the pan. Sprinkle cinnamon powder over it and then pour the caramelized sugar. Keep aside.
  4. For the base: Whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt. Keep aside.
  5. Beat together the eggs, sugar, yoghurt and vanilla extract.
  6. Slowly add the dry ingredients. Then fold in the oil. Do not over mix.
  7. Pour this batter over the apple slices evenly.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 35-40 mins or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Serve with vanilla ice cream :)
