Mike's 1970's Doughnuts. I met Mike while teaching an advanced photography seminar at the university. We both shared a love and interest in classic cameras. Before we began I took some informal portraits of the participants, keeping in mind people.
Ingredients of Mike's 1970's Doughnuts
- You need of Vanilla Filling & Supplies.
- You need of Melted Unsalted Butter.
- It’s of Vanilla Extract.
- Prepare of Whole Milk.
- Prepare of Powdered Sugar.
- It’s of Electric Mixer.
- Prepare of Ziplock Bag [for filling].
- Prepare of Doughnuts & Supplies.
- You need of 16.3 oz Large Pillsbury Butter Or Plain Biscuits [flaky or regular].
- Prepare of Frying Oil [or less may be needed].
- You need of Frying Pan.
- You need of Wooden Spoon.

Mike's 1970's Doughnuts instructions
- Heat oil in pan then turn to medium low..
- Add a few biscuits to the hot oil and fry 2 1/2 minutes on each side Don't burn or over brown. Just keep flipping them..
- Allow the biscuits to cool and drain on paper towels. Then place the handle of your wooden spoon through the fried bread. Not all the way through tho..
- Mix your vanilla filing mixture, [add fruit additions if you'd like] and place it in a Ziplock bag. Snip the end and gently squeeze filing inside the donut..
- Sprinkle on powdered sugar and serve warm with coffee..
- Enjoy the 70's!.
