- It’s 300 g of maple syrup (a bit less then a cup).
- You need 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla.
- It’s 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda.
- You need 120 g of all-purpose flour (1 cup).
- It’s 200 g of brown sugar (1 cup).
- You need pinch of nutmeg.
- You need 115 g of soft butter (1/2 cup).
- Prepare 9 inch of graham cracker pie crust (either store-bought or homemade is fine).

- Mix together the maple syrup, vanilla and baking soda in a bowl, then pour into pie crust.
- Now mix the flour, brown sugar, and nutmeg in a large bowl and sift well. You can run this mixture through a sieve to prevent brown sugar clumps..
- Add the soft (or melted) butter to dry ingredients. Mix well and knead into the shape of the pie shell, add on top of syrup mixture..
- Bake at 375F (190C) for 30 minutes. Allow to cool before eating otherwise it will still be a bit soft in the middle. Enjoy with tea and vanilla ice cream!.
