- It’s 2 of medium pcs of butter nut or 1 big size.
- You need 1 of large onion.
- You need 1 of medium white onion.
- It’s 2 pcs of spring onions.
- Prepare 2.5 cups of water.
- Prepare 2 pcs of celery.
- Prepare 1 bunch of dhania.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of cooking oil.
- You need 1 tbsp of butter or margarine.
- Prepare 1 sachet of black pepper.
- Prepare to taste of salt.
- You need 2 tbsps of cooking cream.

- Clean and assemble all your ingredients..
- Dice them accordingly..
- For butternuts i dint remove the seeds as i understand they have nutritional value so i cooked with them….
- In a sufuria, add some cooking oil n heat abit..
- Add all onions i.e Red, White n springs..
- Brown the onions n add some salt..
- Add celery, garlic n ginger n mix well till they all incorporate..
- Mix so well n let everything cook..
- Add butternuts n mix well..
- Cover n allow to cook on low heat for 10 mins..
- Add 2.5 cups of water n continue cooking..
- Cover as u cook till ready..
- Check whether they are ready..
- If not continue cooking till mashy…
- Put off the heat, cool them abit then mash, blend or whisk. Blending is the better option as u tend to blend everything but if have no blender, look for an alternative. I whisked mine n it went on well…
- Pass it through the strainer or sieve..
- Looks smooth n appetising after being sieved..
- Return the soup in another clean sufuria, heat abit, add 1 tsp or 1 satchet of black pepper n check on the salt..
- Work on the bread or bread rolls to go with the soup. i did toasted bread. pre heat your toaster..
- Generously apply margarine on 2 slices of bread..
- Toast till brown. once brown, set aside…
- Cut it into cubes..
- Transfer your soup in a serving bowl..
- Add some cooking cream. Mix if need be..
- Drop some cubed toasted bread, garnish as u wish..
- Serve while hot n Bon appetite…
