  17. Make ready 2 Tomatoes medium sized
  18. Get 2 green chillies
  19. Prepare 1/2 inch Ginger
  20. Make ready 3-4 cloves Garlic
  21. Prepare 1 spoon lemon juice
  22. Take as required Green Coriander for garnishing
Steps to make Chawal Vadi (Rice curry):
  1. Soak rice and keep aside.
  2. Take onion, tomato, green chilli, ginger and garlic in a mixer and make a smooth paste.
  3. Now take a cooker add oil heat it. Now add jeera and pinch of hing along with whole spices.
  4. Add onion tomato paste and sauce it for 5 to 6 minutes on medium flame.
  5. Once masala is roasted nicely add salt, red chilli, turmeric powder and coriander powder and mix it well.
  6. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water to the masala and cook till you get nice aroma and masala leave the oil
  7. Now add green peas and wadi to this again sauté it.
  8. Now add rice and roast it for 3 to 4 minutes.
  9. Add 4 cups of water and pressure cook rice till 2 whistles. Close the gas and wait for 10 minutes
  10. Before serving garnish it with green coriander and lemon juice.
