  2. Prepare 3 tbsp Ghee
  3. Make ready 1 inch Cinnamon
  4. Get 2 Cardamom

  6. Take 1 Bay leaf
  7. Get 1 Star anise
  8. Prepare 1 tbsp Splitted Cashews
  9. Make ready 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  10. Take As needed Salt
  11. Take Garnish Coriander

Don't brown or over roast the rice. Ghee Rice is a very flavorful rice recipe prepared using fresh ghee and aromatic whole spices. First step is to saute basmati rice in ghee and add the spices and water and cook the rice. Ghee rice recipe is a fragrant, subtly spiced special rice among the variety rice items of India.

Instructions to make Ghee Rice (Sauted):
  1. Wash basmathi rice for 30 minutes. Drain the water and cook the rice by adding 1 tbsp of ghee, pinch of salt. - - Once rice cooked, let it cool for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp of ghee, once melted add cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaf, star anise and cumin seeds. - - Once cumin seeds done add cashews. once cashews turns golden add bit salt, and cooked rice. Saute for 30 sec and close with lid, let it be for 1 minute in low flame.
  3. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with any gravy..

Add the raisins and saute for a few seconds and remove. Keep aside the cashew nuts and raisins. Add rice and saute well so that the ghee will get mixed with the rice. Continue till the rice becomes slightly transparent. Don't go anywhere stir evenly otherwise rice will burn and stick to the bottom.
