Ingredients of Garlic Knots
- You need 1 of pizza dough or 12 oz can of biscuits.
- It’s 1/3 cup of olive oil.
- It’s 1 tsp of garlic powder.
- Prepare 3 tsp of parmesan cheese.
- You need 1 tsp of oregano.
It's quick, easy and a fun way to dress up traditional side bread. Pair them with a pasta dish li. While knots bake, grate the garlic cloves using a Microplane and combine with olive oil and butter in a small sauce pan over low heat. Cook just until butter has melted and mixture is warmed.
Garlic Knots step by step
- Preheat oven to 400°F. And grease a baking sheet..
- (I use pizza dough but you could also use a can of biscuits). Rip off small pieces of dough and roll out then tie in a knot. Then lay about an inch or 2 apart on the baking sheet..
- Bake for about 8 to 10 minutes for biscuits (maybe a little longer for pizza dough) or until the dough is golden brown..
- Mix all the other ingredients together in a bowl then brush over the baked knots. Serve with marinara sauce and enjoy :).
Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley. Immediately after baking, brush the baked knots with the garlic mixture and sprinkle with kosher salt. Stir in the rest of the butter until melted, then add basil and salt and turn off the heat. Right before baking the knots, spread them with half of the butter-garlic mixture. Brush the knots with the egg, and sprinkle the rosemary and garlic onto the knots.
