  1. Melt together the butter and the chocolate, this can be done either on a double boiler or in the microwave – stir often to stop burning. Once complete set aside to cool..

  4. If using cornflour: Add a little water to the cornflour to make into a paste.
  5. Add the flour/cornflour and cocoa to the mixture and stir gently until its all combined..
  6. Pour into a baking tray (30x15cm / 12x6inch). If the tray is a different size don't worry, you will just have fatter/thinner brownies..
  7. Bake at 180°C/350F for about 40 minutes. Check after 30 mins and then every 5 mins after until they look cooked..
