Ingredients of Tart Shells

  1. Prepare 200 grams of butter.
  2. Prepare 70 grams of sugar (or more, depending on taste).
  3. Prepare 125 grams of flour.
  4. You need 1 of egg.
  5. You need dash of vanilla extract (optional).

Tart Shells step by step

  1. Cream butter and sugar until pale and fluffy..
  2. Add the egg and combine well..
  3. Sift in flour in two batches until the mixture forms into a soft dough..
  4. Store the dough in the fridge for half an hour..
  5. Mould and poke the bottom with a fork to prevent breakage..
  6. Bake in preheated oven at 200℃ for ten to fifteen minutes or until golden brown..
  7. Chill in fridge overnight for best results..
