Ingredients of Bacon and Cheese Grillers
- You need 2 lbs of ground pork (or beef – not too lean).
- You need 5 Ounces of cheddar cut into 1/4 inch cubes.
- You need 8 of Smoked Bacon strips.
- You need 2 of Table spoons garlic powder.
- Prepare 2 of Table spoons onion powder.
- It’s 1 of Table spoon dried Oregano.
- Prepare 2 of Table spoons each salt and black pepper.
Bacon and Cheese Grillers instructions
- Fry the bacon till most fat is rendered. Let it cool then chop coarsely (about 1/4 inch pieces).
- Mix the meat with garlic and onion powder, Oregano, salt and pepper then add the bacon and the cheese. Mix well..
- Use the meat mixture to form 4 inch diameter patties / burgers, 1/2 inch in thickness (either by hand or using a burger form or such).
- Place a piece of parchment paper between the burgers, place burgers in a freezer bag and freeze them overnight (or longer / whenever you need them!).
- While still frozen, pre-heat the grill to medium low, (remove the parchment paper) and grill the burgers 15 – 17 minutes till they reach an internal temperature of 160 F. Serve immediately.
